On MFU Campus

  • Wanawes MFU ($): At walking distance from E4 building and easily accessible with MFU GEM cars, this affordable on-campus hotel has rooms with balcony, kitchen area, fridge, and garden views. Near MFU Campus

The following hotels are located very near MFU campus:

  • Phufa Waree Chiangrai Resort ($$): Located on the main road between Chiang Rai and Mae Sai, very near the entrance of Mae Fah Luang University and E4 building (10 minutes walk), and surrounded by restaurants and a local market. Room rates: Standard 1,400 Baht/night, Superior 1,600 Baht/night, Deluxe 1,900 Baht/night. Transportation from/to this hotel will be provided by the organization of the conference.   • Thanachai Apartments and Hotel ($): A basic but convenient aparthotel very near the entrance to MFU campus (10-min walking distance) with affordable room rates. Very close to MFU campus, there are also many student residences, some of which offer rooms for rent per night at affordable rates. Staff might not be able to speak English. We recommend the following two residences:

  • Regent Mansion ($): Large student residence located very near the entrance of MFU campus and E4 building (5-min walking distance). They operate a regular shuttle bus to and from M-Square on campus. The residence has many facilities (swimming pool, gym, etc.) and is also located near the market and main highway.   • STK Resort ($): Student residence located very near the entrance of MFU campus and E4 building (5-min walking distance), next to Regent Mansion. Room rate: 500 Baht/night (excluding breakfast). There are many more options farther away, but still at a short driving distance from campus. We recommend the following:

  • Chiang Rai Lake Hill Resort ($): In a natural setting, surrounded by hills, and with a swimming pool, this resort is only 5 minutes away by car from MFU campus. Room rates: Standard 800 Baht/night, Terrace 1,200 Baht/night, Villa 1,400 Baht/night (excluding breakfast). Guests will need to arrange their own transportation from/to this hotel.
